We believe that calm is something you can carry with you... in your pocket, bag, or the palm of your hand.

Balm Dot Calm started with a straightforward idea: skincare should fit easily into real life, not add to it. Our small-batch lip and skin balms are crafted with clean, nourishing ingredients designed to soothe, protect, and restore.

Who We Are

From a Maine kitchen to your hands ~ one small batch at a time.

For over a decade, this formula has lived quietly in our kitchen, made with love for friends and family and refined through years of real-life use. What began as a simple, handcrafted creation has grown into a small women-owned apothecary rooted in the slow, intentional rhythms of Maine.

Today, we blend our butters, waxes, and nourishing plant oils in small batches ~ stirring and pouring each jar by hand, just the way we always have. Oils, herbs, and calming botanicals are chosen for their purity and the way they work with your skin's natural moisture barrier.

Our formula is simple by design. Beeswax and shea butter form a breathable barrier to slow moisture loss. A blend of plant oils delivers essential fatty acids that nourish and replenish the skin. Arnica and calendula offer gentle botanical comfort. Castor oil provides natural structure, while grapeseed and sweet almond keep the texture light and fast‑absorbing. Jojoba mirrors the skin’s own sebum, making the formula universally compatible and deeply softening. A light, earthy blend of essential oils adds a comforting aroma that never overwhelms!
